GPT-5.5 Instant Mini in ChatGPT

We’re rolling out GPT‑5.5 Instant Mini in ChatGPT. It replaces GPT‑5.3 Instant Mini as the fallback model users reach after hitting their GPT‑5.5 Instant or Auto rate limits. Because it serves as a fallback, it won’t appear in the model picker. This update does not affect the API or Codex.

Compared with GPT‑5.3 Instant Mini, GPT‑5.5 Instant Mini better tracks evolving user intent, calibrates tone, and avoids repetitive or overly structured responses. Testing also showed stronger personalization and fewer factual issues.

ChatGPT for PowerPoint GA and workspace agent pricing update

ChatGPT Business: ChatGPT for PowerPoint is now generally available for Business workspaces. Teams can create and revise editable presentations directly in Microsoft PowerPoint, ask questions about deck structure and narrative, and use Skills and enabled apps to build slides from repeatable workflows and connected sources. Advanced edits and template matching may still require review. Workspace admins can enable ChatGPT for PowerPoint and control access to supported apps. Business usage remains free through August 6, 2026. After that, usage follows the flexible-pricing model and draws from the workspace credit pool after included usage.

As of July 6, 2026, Workspace Agent runs now use token-based pricing, with credit use based on input tokens, cached input tokens, and output tokens. Business plans include usage for ChatGPT Workspace Agents, ChatGPT for Excel, and ChatGPT for PowerPoint through the general Codex agentic usage pool as pricing takes effect for each feature. Flexible pricing can extend included limits.

ChatGPT Enterprise/Edu: ChatGPT for Excel/Sheets tasks now use token-based credit pricing for Enterprise and Edu workspaces. Workspace Agent runs also use token-based credit pricing for Enterprise workspaces. Credit use is based on input tokens, cached input tokens, and output tokens rather than a fixed credit cost.

ChatGPT for PowerPoint remains free for Enterprise customers through August 6, 2026. Charging starts after that date under the same token-based pricing model as ChatGPT for Excel/Sheets.
